Now Products Ship Sooner Working toward shorter lead times. By Ken Milburn- 07/04/02 When Bonney Lake Astro Works started business in 1997, things started happening fast. Owners of the first flagship product, The Milburn Wedge, were so pleased with their new telescope accessory that they started telling their star-gazing friends everywhere. We expected a very low level demand with gradual growth over the coming years, but things grew much faster than expected. With the modest production rate BLAW was able to support, fairly long lead times became the norm quickly. Recently Ken has been getting some production help (outsourcing) and lead times are getting better. The turn-around time for orders has been reduced from six months, down to three or four months. We are shooting to get under two months by the end of 2002. We really appreciate our customers' patience and are continueing to drive toward shorter lead times while still maintaining the high quality and low prices that have made BLAW products so attractive.
